AdChoiceTV News — A police officer assigned at the Parañaque City crime laboratory has surrendered after shooting two residents of Paniqui, Tarlac, according to an official report released Monday.
The sketcy police report said Senior Master Sergeant Jonel Nuezca surrendered at the Pangasinan Municipal Police Station on Sunday, about an hour after shooting 52-year-old Sonya Gregorio and her son Frank Anthony Gregorio, 25.
Nuezca and the Gregorios are residents of Barangay Cabayaoasan, Paniqui, Tarlac. The suspect will undergo disposition and further investigation. AdChoiceTV News is trying to get more details of the incident, but the police chief of Paniqui told radio DZBB in an interview the incident may be related to a land dispute.
The shooting incident which was caught on camera and the video is now viral on social media, with netizens criticizing the PNP’s role in alleged killings in the country. Netizens are seeking justice for the Gregorios, calling for the end of police brutality and impunity in the Philippines.
